fa بررسی حضور آنتی‌بادی‌های ضد انگل توکسوپلاسما گوندی در خون نوزادان تازه متولد شده شهر بوشهر Investigating the Presence of Anti-Toxoplasma Antibodies in Newborns in Bushehr, Iran انگل‌شناسی Parasitology پژوهشي Original <div style="text-align: justify;">زمینه:توکسوپلاسموزیس یکی از شایع‌ترین عفونت‌های انگلی است که در صورت انتقال مادرزادی، می‌تواند عوارض جدی در نوزاد ایجاد کند. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی حضور آنتی‌بادی‌های ضد انگل Toxoplasma gondiiدر خون نوزادان تازه متولد شده در شهر بوشهر بود. مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه مقطعی توصیفی- تحلیلی روی ۱۸۱ نوزاد تازه متولد شده در بیمارستان‌های بوشهر در فاصله زمانی ۱۴۰۱ لغایت ۱۴۰۲ انجام شد. از هر نوزاد نمونه خون گرفته شد و با روش ELISA، سطح آنتی‌بادی‌های IgG و IgM ضد توکسوپلاسما بررسی گردید. نتایج تست‌ها به همراه اطلاعات پرسشنامه‌ای با استفاده از نرم‌افزار آماری SPSS ویرایش ۲۶ و آزمون آماری کای دو مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. یافته‌ها: از ۱۸۱ نوزاد بررسی شده، ۱۸/۲ درصد تیتر مثبت آنتی بادی IgG ضد انگل توکسوپلاسما و ۸۱/۸ درصد فاقد تیتر مثبت این آنتی‌بادی بودند. دو مورد از نمونه‌های بررسی شده که دارای آنتی‌بادی IgG ضد انگل توکسوپلاسما در سرم خود بودند، همزمان دارای IgM مثبت و یا مرزی بودند، در حالی‌که در ۱۷۹ نمونه دیگر این آنتی‌بادی منفی بود. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج مطالعه بر ضرورت افزایش آگاهی مادران و ایجاد برنامه غربالگری توکسوپلاسموزیس در دوران بارداری تأکید دارد. علی رغم آمار پایین ابتلاء به عفونت توکسوپلاسموزیس حاد در نوزادان بررسی شده، تشخیص و پیگیری به موقع نوزادان با IgM مثبت اهمیت بالایی در کاهش عوارض بلندمدت خواهد داشت.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Background: Toxoplasmosis is one of the most common parasitic infections, which, when transmitted congenitally, can lead to severe complications in neonates. The present study aimed to investigate the presence of anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in the blood samples of newborns in Bushehr, Iran. Materials and Methods: This descriptive–analytical cross-sectional study was conducted on 181 newborns delivered in Bushehr hospitals between 2022 and 2023. Blood samples were collected from each neonate, and the levels of anti-Toxoplasma IgG and IgM antibodies were determined using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. The obtained results, along with questionnaire data, were analyzed using the Chi-square statistical test in SPSS software. Results: Among the 181 neonates examined, 33 (18.2%) had a positive titer of anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibody, while 148 (81.8%) showed no detectable IgG antibodies in their serum. Of the IgG-positive samples, two neonates also showed the presence of specific anti-Toxoplasma IgM antibodies. The remaining 179 samples (98.9%) were negative for IgM antibodies. Conclusion The findings of this study emphasize the necessity of increasing maternal awareness and establishing toxoplasmosis screening programs during pregnancy.
