fa بررسی تأثیر الگوی مصرف دخانیات بر سطح سرمی بنزوآپایرن (BaP) در زنان استان بوشهر The effect of Smoking Pattern on Serum Level of Benzo(a)Pyrene (BaP) in Women from Bushehr Province بهداشت محیط Environmental Health پژوهشي Original <div style="text-align: justify;">زمینه: ترکیب سرطان‌زای بنزوآپایرن (BaP) یکی از هیدروکربن‌های آروماتیک چندحلقه‌ای است که به واسطه مصرف مستقیم یا غیرمستقیم دخانیات، سلامت زنان را به‌دلیل پتانسیل بالای تجمع و سمیت طولانی‌مدت در بدن تهدید می‌کند. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه، سطح سرمی BaP به‌عنوان یک ترکیب سرطان‌زا از گروه هیدروکربن‌های آروماتیک چندحلقوی (PAHs) در زنان استان بوشهر، به‌منظور ارزیابی سطح مواجهه این افراد اندازه‌گیری شد. برای این کار، نمونه‌های خون از سه گروه از زنان شامل زنانی که خود استعمال تنباکو دارند، زنانی که در معرض دود دست دوم/ سوم هستند و زنانی که نه مصرف دارند و نه در معرض دود دست دوم/ سوم هستند، گرفته شد. سپس، مقادیر سرمی BaP با دستگاه کروماتوگرافی گازی- طیف سنج جرمی (GC-Ms) تعیین گردید. یافته‌ها: یافته‌های این مطالعه نشان داد که میانگین غلظت سرمی&rlm; ترکیب &rlm;BaP&rlm; در گروه مصرف‌کننده فعال، مصرف‌کننده غیرفعال و غیرمصرف‌کننده به ترتیب برابر با &rlm;&rlm;۹/۵۱ ± ۱۵/۵۸&rlm;، &rlm;&rlm;۸/۳۶ ± ۸/۱۱&rlm; و &rlm;&rlm;&rlm;۵/۶۱ ± ۴/۲۳&rlm; نانوگرم بر &rlm;میلی‌لیتر بود که این مقدار برای گروه مصرف‌کننده فعال به‌طور معناداری بیش از مقدار مشاهده شده در دو گروه دیگر بوده &rlm;است (&rlm;۰۰۱/۰>&rlm;P&rlm;). نتیجه‌گیری: این مطالعه نشان داد که مواجهه با دود قلیان و سیگار به‌عنوان یک خطر بالقوه از لحاظ مواجهه با ترکیب سرطان‌زای &rlm;BaP&rlm; می‌باشد. بنابراین، براساس مشاهدات حاضر می‌توان نتیجه‌گیری کرد که زنان مصرف‌کننده مستقیم یا غیرمستقیم دود قلیان/ سیگار در معرض خطر بالقوه سرطان‌زایی قرار دارند. نتایج این مطالعه بر ضرورت افزایش آگاهی عمومی، اجرای برنامه‌های آموزشی هدفمند، و اتخاذ سیاست‌های پیشگیرانه مؤثر به‌منظور کاهش مواجهه زنان با دود قلیان و سیگار، به‌ویژه در محیط‌های خانوادگی و اجتماعی، تأکید می‌کند تا از پیامدهای نامطلوب و بلندمدت ناشی از تماس با ترکیبات سرطان‌زایی مانند BaP بر سلامت فردی و جامعه جلوگیری شود.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Background: The carcinogenic compound benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon that threatens women’s health through direct or indirect tobacco use, primarily due to its significant potential for long-term systemic accumulation and toxicity. Materials and Methods: In this study, serum levels of benzo[a]pyrene, a carcinogenic compound belonging to the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) group, were measured in women from Bushehr Province to assess their level of exposure. Blood samples were collected from three groups of women: active tobacco users, those exposed to secondhand/thirdhand smoke, and those with neither direct use nor exposure. Serum BaP concentrations were then determined using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Results: The findings showed that the mean serum concentrations of BaP in active users, passive users, and non-users were 15.58 ± 9.51, 8.11 ± 8.36, and 4.23 ± 5.61 ng/mL, respectively, with significantly higher levels observed in active users compared to the other groups (P < 0.001). Conclusion: This study indicated that exposure to hookah and cigarette smoke represents a potential risk factor for exposure to the carcinogenic compound BaP. Therefore, based on the present findings, it can be concluded that women who are directly or indirectly exposed to hookah or cigarette smoke are at potential risk of carcinogenic effects.
