fa بررسی ﻋﻼﺋﻢ و ﻧﺸﺎﻧﻪﻫﺎی تنفسی، گوارشی و نورولوژیک کووید طولانی در ﺑﯿﻤﺎران سرپایی و ﺑﺴﺘﺮی در اﺳﺘﺎن ﺑﻮﺷﻬﺮ An Investigation in to the Respiratory, Gastrointestinal, and Neurological Symp-toms Associated with Long COVID in Out-patients and Inpatients in Bushehr Prov-ince ویروس شناسی Virology پژوهشي Original <div style="text-align: justify;">زمینه: کووید طولانی اصطلاحی است که برای توصیف وجود علائم مختلف، حتی هفته‌ها یا ماه‌ها پس از ابتلا به کووید 19 استفاده می‌شود. با توجه‌به اهمیت کووید طولانی در کیفیت زندگی بیماران بهبود یافته از کووید 19 و تأثیر آن بر نظام سلامت، این مطالعه با هدف بررسی علائم و نشانه‌های تنفسی، گوارشی و نورولوژیک کووید طولانی در بیماران مبتلا به کرونای سرپایی و بستری در استان بوشهر در سال 1401-1402 انجام شده است. مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه مقطعی توصیفی- تحلیلی بر روی 376 بیمار مبتلا به کووید 19 در استان بوشهر انجام شد. بیماران از طریق آزمایش PCR شناسایی و ﺑﻪ مرکز ﺗﺤﻘﯿﻘﺎت ﻃﺐ گرمسیری و عفونی خلیج‌فارس شهر بوشهر دﻋﻮت شدند. داده‌ها از طریق پرسشنامه و ارزیابی بالینی جمع‌آوری و با نرم‌افزار SPSS ویرایش 27 تحلیل شدند. یافته‌ها: نتایج حاصل از مطالعه نشان داد که علائم تنفسی، به‌ویژه سرفه و تنگی نفس، در بیماران مبتلا به کووید طولانی شایع است. در بین علائم نورولوژیک، خستگی، سرگیجه و اختلالات بویایی به‌ترتیب بیشترین میزان شیوع را در بین بیماران داشتند. همچنین، 29 درصد از جامعه‌ی مورد پژوهش حداقل یک علامت گوارشی بعد از ابتلا به بیماری کرونا را از خود نشان دادند که از این میان معده‌ درد و کم‌اشتهایی بیشترین شیوع را داشت. نتیجه‌گیری: مطالعه حاضر بر ارزیابی و پیگیری علائم ماندگار کووید ۱۹ تأکید دارد و مدیریت شخصی‌سازی‌شده آن‌ها را راهی برای ارتقای کیفیت زندگی بیماران و کاهش بار نظام سلامت می‌داند.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Background: Long COVID refers to the persistence of various symptoms weeks or months after the initial infection with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), irrespective of the presence of the virus. Given the significance of long COVID on patients' quality of life and its implications for the healthcare system, this study aimed to investigate the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and neurological signs and symptoms of long COVID in both outpatients and inpatients with COVID-19 in Bushehr Province between 2022 and 2023. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study included 376 patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection in Bushehr Province, Iran. Patients were identified through PCR testing and invited to the Persian Gulf Tropical Medicine Research Center in Bushehr, Iran. Data was collected via a questionnaire and clinical assessment and analyzed using the SPSS software program. Results: Respiratory symptoms, especially cough and shortness of breath, were common in patients with long COVID. The prevalence of these symptoms was higher in patients with severe acute COVID-19. The most common neurological symptoms were fatigue, dizziness, and olfactory disorders. Additionally, approximately one-third (29 %) of the study population exhibited at least one gastrointestinal symptom post-COVID-19 infection. The most prevalent symptoms were stomachache and anorexia, respectively. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of assessing and monitoring respiratory, gastrointestinal, and neurological symptoms, which are common and persistent sequelae of COVID-19 infection. Personalized management strategies can improve patients' quality of life and alleviate the burden on the healthcare system.
