زمینه: عروس دریایی زهرآگین کاسیوپیا آندرومدا (Cassiopea andromeda) با نماتوسیت‌های خود می‌تواند آسیبها و اثرات توکسیکولوژیک و بیولوژیک مختلفی را ایجاد نماید. آنزیم های فسفولیپاز A2 (PLA2)  توکسیک بوده و موجب القاء اثرات فارماکولوژیک متنوع شامل نوروتوکسیسیتی، میوتوکسیسیتی و فعالیتهای ضد انعقادی می‌گردند. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی فعالیت فسفولیپاز A2 زهر خامC. andromeda  در شرایط  in vitroصورت پذیرفت. برای درک بهتر نتایج تجربی، یک مطالعه داکینگ مولکولی نیز انجام گردید.

مواد و روش‌ها: نمونه‌های زنده با استفاده از تور ترال از خلیج نایبند، جمع‌آوری و جداسازی تانتاکول‌ها، بر اساس روش بلوم و همکاران انجام گردید. فعالیت PLA2 زهر خام بر اساس روش اسیدیمتری تان و تان مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. زهر لیوفیلیزه، مورد مطالعه کروماتوگرافی گازی / طیف‌سنجی جرمی قرار گرفت و ساختارهای منتج، در مطالعه داکینگ برابر PLA2 مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. از ایندوکسام نیز به عنوان کنترل استاندارد استفاده شد.

یافته‌ها: فعالیت PLA2 در زهر عروس دریایی واژگون خلیج فارس، برابر 08/0±413 میکرومول/ دقیقه/ میلی­گرم بود. آنالیز زهر خام با استفاده از GC-MS، هفت ترکیب (I-VII)، را شناسایی نمود. داده‌های داکینگ  نشانگر وجود فعالیت مهاری PLA2، در هر هفت ترکیب بود و بالا‌ترین افینیتی (7/6- کیلوکالری/مول) مربوط به ترکیب "پرگن-5- ان، 11- دیون، 17، 20: 20، 21 بیس ] متیلن بیس (اکسی)[-، سیکلیک 3- (1، 2- اتان دیل استات" بود.

نتیجه‌گیری: سطح بالایی از فسفولیپاز A2 در زهر کاسیوپیا آندرومدا یافت گردید. بین مطالعات in vitro وin silico  همبستگی مطلوبی
وجود داشت.
