زمینه: اختلال عملکرد جنسی بر کیفیت زندگی و بسیاری از مشکلات اجتماعی تأثیرگذار است، مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین شیوع اختلال عملکرد جنسی و ارزیابی اثر پیشگویی کنندگی برخی عوامل جمعیت‌شناختی مرتبط با آن، در زنان سنین باروری شهر بوشهر انجام شد.
مواد و روش‌ها: مطالعه حاضر، از نوع مقطعی است که بر روی 548 زن متأهل ۱۵ تا ۴۹ سال ساکن شهر بوشهر به صورت آنلاین انجام شد. نمونه‌گیری به‌صورت تصادفی طبقه‌بندی متناسب از بین تمامی ده مرکز جامع سلامت شهر بوشهر بود. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، پرسشنامه‌ای مشتمل بر مشخصات فردی و شاخص عملکرد جنسی زنان بود که عملکرد جنسی زنان را در شش حوزه می‌سنجد. تحلیل داده‌ها توسط نرم‌افزار SPSS ویرایش 22 با استفاده از آزمون‌های کای- دو و مدل رگرسیون لجستیک انجام گردید. سطح معنی‌داری برای تمام آزمون‌ها کمتر از 05/0 در نظر گرفته شد. 
یافته‌ها: در این مطالعه 548 نفر شرکت نمودند که از این تعداد 267 نفر (7/48 درصد) اختلال عملکرد جنسی داشتند. از میان متغیرهای جمعیت‌شناختی، سطح تحصیلات (۰۰۱/۰>p)، سطح درآمد خانواده (۰14/۰=p)، اختلاف با همسر (۰۰1/۰=p)، سابقه اختلال عملکرد جنسی (۰۰۱/۰>p) و وضعیت عملکرد جنسی (۰۰۱/۰>p) عوامل پیشگویی کننده معنادار اختلال عملکرد جنسی بودند.
نتیجه‌گیری: شیوع اختلال عملکرد‌‌ جنسی در زنان متأهل شهر بوشهر نسبتاً بالا می‌باشد. از آنجا که وضعیت عملکرد جنسی پیشگویی‌کنندگی قوی در بروز اختلال عملکرد جنسی است، می‌توان از این عامل جهت شناسایی افراد دارای اختلال عملکرد جنسی استفاده نمود. جهت پیشگیری از این اختلال، نیاز به بستر مناسب جهت تشخیص و درمان اختلالات جنسی در زنان است. طراحی و اجرای برنامه‌های مداخله‌ای جهت بهبود عملکرد جنسی زنانی که با همسر خود اختلاف داشته و سطح درآمد ناکافی دارند، ضروریست.
