زمینه: بی‌حسی نخاعی روش انتخابی در جراحی سزارین بوده و سردرد پس از بی‌حسی نخاعی همچنان از عوارض عارضه ناخوشایند و ناخواسته آن می‌باشد. هدف از این مطالعه مقایسه اثر پیشگیرانه پرگابلین و امینوفیلین بعلاوه دگزامتازون در سردرد پس از بی‌حسی نخاعی در جراحی سزارین بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: در یک مطالعه‌ی دو سو کور کنترل‌دار، 375 خانم باردار داوطلب عمل سزارین الکتیو در سه گروه 125 نفری تخصیص تصادفی شدند و به‌صورت پیشگیرانه پرگابلین و امینوفیلین بعلاوه دگزامتازون و پلاسبو دریافت نمودند. بروز و شدت سر درد به‌صورت دیداری در این بیماران در 24 ساعت اول (6، 12 و 24 ساعت) بعد از عمل مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت.
یافته‌ها: فراوانی بروز و شدت سردرد 6، 12 و 24 ساعت پس از عمل سزارین تحت بی‌حسی نخاعی در سه گروه دریافت کننده پیشگیرانه پرگابلین، ترکیب امینوفیلین به‌علاوه دگزامتازون و پلاسبو از نظر آماری تفاوت معنی‌داری نشان ندادند.
نتیجه‌گیری: تجویز پیشگیرانه پرگابلین و امینوفیلین بعلاوه دگزامتازون در سردرد پس از بی‌حسی نخاعی در جراحی سزارین بر شیوع سردرد پس از عمل مؤثر نمی‌باشد.
